We started because those of us who play for church services wanted to get together to play other music as well. We hoped that people in the community who played an instrument, but didn’t belong to a band or were a bit rusty, might like to join us. Since then we have grown to a 16 piece band. We meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month in St Michael’s church from 7.30 to 9.00. We play at various church events, the Easter Café, the Church Fête and the Christmas Fayre, as well as Shillingford Summer Fête.

We don’t always have any vacancies, but people come and go so if anyone is interested in joining us it is worth getting in touch. As a rough guide grade five standard is useful. Contact Carolyn on 01392 832811.
