To find out more about our music, contact Sue Hutchings (organist) or Carolyn Bull (Music Group co-ordinator).
St Michael’s music is rich and varied.
An enthusiastic pool of volunteers provides contemporary music for many of our services. They also accompany some of the more traditional songs and hymns which we love to sing. And our lovely Church organ often swells the chords with its rich sonorous voice.
Most Sunday worship has a mixture of old and new. Once a month (on the 2nd Sunday), our main morning Communion has only the organ to help us sing. At other times you’ll get a bit of everything.
From time to time we enjoy music from Taizé. At other times it’ll be Rend Collective and Hillsong. Occasionally we bring in a guest worship leader to bring us a flavour of what other churches are learning to sing.
New musicians will always be welcome.
